Hello tech support forums. Newb here. I was wondering if I can switch to integrated Graphics while doing non-intensive tasks such as surfing and watching youtubes?

Plan B, if not, how do I lower the fan speed of NVIDIA GTX460 thanks?

You can't just switch back in forth between the two but most modern video cards go into a 2D mode when not playing a game. The fan speed, GPU and memory clocks are usually lowered when they're not needed.

Try EVGA precision for managing your card.

You can also try:

Just be very careful when doing anything inside the BIOS.

Have you checked your GPU temps? The fan should lower in RPM's when the temps are lower.
