Hello,
A friend of mine is having a problem with "low disk space" on her computer. She has windows XP and a 20GB hard drive (windows shows it's 18.6 GB). We can't figure out what's taking up so much space. We have deleted unused programs, run CleanUp! a few times, and deleted a lot of space that it doesn't seem to recognize. It won't let me run any security programs, even HijackThis, because of the low disk space.

I did notice a suspicious setup application right on the C drive. It's 58,490 KB. Are they supposed to be that big? Can I delete it? What else can I do?

Thanks,
Rochelle

Hello,

That space might have been occupied by page-files. I would not worry about that space. I would not worry about the setup file eighter. It is probably an application setup that you downloaded. Malicious scripts, softwares are never that big. I would recommend a HD upgrade since their prices are pretty good right now :D Treat the system with a 80 GB WD and clone (or get it cloned ) your HD to the new HD so you dont lose anything. :)

regards.
