Alright, here is the problem. I bought the geforce 4 4600 assylum and installed it a few weeks before christmas. Today I was cleaning out the computer and rearranging the wires( pesky things), and when I got everything back together and rebooted, instead of a regular boot screen, I get a series of vertical, blue lines, followed by red lines then a black screen then the red lines again. The computer beeps like usual but nothing on screen. I switched out the video card with my old geforce 3 and it was fine. I put the 4 back in and I get the lines. Can anyone help me? I'm starting to get desperate.

I was praying that it was something else. But do you know what might have caused it? I swear 30 min it died, it was working fine.

Did you ground, your self before you was going through your computer......

Yes, I was grounded. And I had booted it up then shut it down again before it went psycho on me. I hadn't touched the card although the case was open.

Mmmm, thats weird because my case stays open all the time. better air flow, im all ways in my computer too! but im all ways grounded though & i'm all ways checking my video card too. Maybe its just bad luck, or it was its time to go.....R.I.P

Time to go? Thats crazt talk cause the card was only like 2 months old. :upset:
