Hey guys, new to the boards here and was hoping to get a little help with a performance issue I'm having. After about 5 minutes of playing any game (Fallout, Dragon Age, Dawn of War are the games I've tested), I get a massive FPS drop. I am able to run these games on maxed settings, runs 30+ FPS then drops to 3-5 FPS shortly after. I've run registry cleaners, CCleaner, anti-virus software, checked gfx and cpu temps, updated all drivers, but no luck fixing the issue. I have an Asus G50v a little more than a year old. Here's some information:

Vista Home Premium SP 2 64-bit
Intel Duo T5750 @ 2 GHz
4 GB Ram
Geforce 9700m GT
Directx 11

CPU temp running at 65 C
GPU temp running at 69 C

Any suggestions? Thanks for looking. Let me know if more info is needed.

Hello and welcome to TSF
the CPU temps are pretty high for your laptop, and that is what making the fps to go down, you should consider getting a Laptop cooler to cool down the hole laptop
here is what I recommend:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...er=BESTMATCH&Description=ANTEC+COOLER&x=0&y=0
it's a bit expensive, but it'll make the laptop runs a lot cooler especially while playing demanding games like Fallout 3 and Dragon Age
