Stuck on low resolution :(

I just updated my video card driver since my games were running slowly, and when the computer rebooted, I couldn't set the resoultion above 1024x768...

I have an Alienware m11x
NVIDIA Geforce GT335M
Windows 7
4 GB RAM
Resolution is usually 1366 x 799

Did you get the Drivers from Dell's website or from nVidia's?

I got it from NVIDIA's website.

All drivers/updates for OEM PC's/laptops should be downloaded from the manufacturer's site.

I'm confused about what that means. Should I get it from Dell or NVIDIA?

download the latest drivers from here: Notebook Drivers

Download all drivers/updates from the manufacturer of the PC/laptop. In your case that would be Dell.
