I have a Dlink DNS 323 NAS (network attached Storage) with 2 1TB HDD's. I had a folder with over 400GB of video files in a folder names movies. A few days ago the folder disappeared. I did not delete it and I've checked show all hidden folders. If I do a search of the drive nothing shows up either. Where is gets stranger is if I try to create a new folder named movies it will not let me name a folder that. All of the data seems to be there when I look at drive capacity under properties.

A friend of my had that problem heres how I fixed it.

get yourself one of these:

Make sure the cable IS cross over or crosswired
Disconect the drive from the computer.
Uninstall whatever antivirus your are using.(if you can't there's the problem)
Install this one:

I suggest you buy the full version. They deserve it.
Make all updates and reconnect the drive run a full scan starting by the drive where the movie folder is.
