i have this strange problem but before i explain it i will describe the background.

i have 2 laptops both ACER 6700z and with SP2 installed on both and with intel Pro/wireless 2200BG. i also have a 1-MB DSL connection, i connect to it using a Wan Miniport (PPOE) so i always have to dial it before connecting, which means that i cant connect both the laptops with the switch and use internet on both. so instead of buying a wireless router what i did was, that on PC 1 connected to the internet and made the Miniport connection to be shared across the PC 2 using the wireless. so i made an ad-hoc profile on PC 1 and and when ever PC 2 connected to that profile using its wireless adapter i was able to use internet on that too.

it worked pretty fine for few days and the speeds were very impressive. but one day when i was using the internet on Pc 1, i enabled the wireless on it so that my other pc could browse. but only after few minutes the speed seemed to die on me and few moments after that i got this DATA EXECUTION PREVENTION message that
"to help protect your computer, windoes has closed this program"
Name: windows explorer
Publisher: Microsoft Corporation
as soon as close the message i get another message that
"windows explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close, we are sorry for inconvenience"
then when i send the error or simply close it down i get another message that
"postmortum debugger has encountered a problem.."
after that the computer freezez and i have to do a cold reboot.
after this problem arised i continuesly got the messages every time i connected to DSL even if i did not enabled the internet sharing and simply used it on PC 1.
(important: PC 2 never gets any messages or problem)

when i could not resolve the problem, i reinstlled the OS after compeletly formatting the drive. and when i connected to internet it worked fine but as sooon as i made that ad-hoc network and allowed the other computer the whole problem came back again.

i have reinstalled the OS many times and the problem still comes up as soon as i use PC 2 to connect through PC 1. otherwise untill i only use it on PC 1 it works fine

i have even switched the roles between the laptop but the problem again comes on the computer that shares its connection through wireless.
