Yeah a new battery is a good idea but get it from hp as other after market ones may give rise to more issues or not work at all,as for cod 4 that is a no to running it the machine is just not up to it if you keep overheating as cl0udedth0ught says it will seriously damage the computer ie brick it

Hi your onboard graphics are not the best so you will have issues with the games, the question now is have you already damaged the gpu by your playing games that it cannot handle
