Any recommendations for a storage device to store my music on? Internal or external hard drives, or othres etc!
Thanks

I would use an internal hard drive unless you plan to take that drive away from that computer and connect it to another computer, then I would go with an external hard drive. The file access is a lot faster on an internal hard drive than it is on a firewire or USB2 External HD. What I would do is get both, I would use the external hard drive for backup purposes.
I agree with phubeone. If you want to travel with it get an external (for me that means buy a HD and buy an enclosure.) If not traveling then just get an internal and hook it up.
i recommend seagate hdds. they perform pretty well and they are reliable. im pretty sure its only on some seagate hdd models but they come with 5yr warranty.
i agree with an external hard drive. i got one a few months ago for the same reason and its perfect. just get a travel case if you are going to carry it around.
Also as a little note. If you intend on buying a HD and enclosure (which gives more bang for the buck) I suggest you buy an enclosure that is 3.5 inch and has a fan built in. The 5 inch enclosures are too bulky and the 2.5 are only made to hold notebook hd's.
Excellent advise as always Thanks! I think the internal is the way to go for me!
One extra question. Can my existing OS be put on the new HD or do I need to buy a new OS?

Thanks
You don't need to install a new OS. The new internal slave drive will be recognised by Windows as D: and can be used as extra storage space for data or program files.
