I have a IBM thinkpad and can't seem to get far on startup! When I turn on laptop it goes to a screen that shows a picture of a drive and a disk. At the bottom is a bar with the F1 to F12 keys. There are two arrows pointing (blinking) at the F1 key. There is also a arrow moving to show to enter a disk. What does this mean? Does this mean I have no operating system? Is there something missing? Any info? Please help!

Welcom to the forum. What era is your thinkpad from? (real old, practically new) I'm not familiar with the "think pad" in particular, but if it was made in the last 6 or 7 years it should boot to the OS.
If it is really old it might be asking for the DOS disk. Need more info........

Welcome to the forums Crowe19! What it's asking for is known as a "configuration disk". PS/2's do the same thing if any hardware is changed so I've seen this before. Posting the model # of your machine will help track this elusive item down!
