Hi Andy
...Welcome to the Tech Support Forums!
If you haven't added any hardware or software, or made any other system changes, just before seeing these messages, a quick-fix try would be to use System Restore. I wonder if you may have accidentally changed your DEP (Data Execution Prevention) settings from their defaults. Another possibility is that your system may have a malware infection.
Try the System Restore, and see if it restores functionality. If so, also run some thorough malware scans. If you find that you still have significant infections present, try the 5-Step Security Checklist from over in our Security forums --- http://www.techsupportforum.com/sec...lease-read-before-posting-hijackthis-log.html
[...and should you wish to read up on how DEP works, here's the Microsoft overview article for that --- http://support.microsoft.com/kb/875352 ]
To try System Restore:
1) Boot your computer into Safe Mode (start tapping the F8 key as the computer is starting up, and select "Safe Mode" from the Boot Menu).
2) Logon as "Administrator".
3) Click on Start/All Programs/Accessories/System Tools/System Restore, and select a restore point from before this trouble started.
Best of luck
. . . Gary
