My computer basicly gets to the screen when you turnit on that takes you to the bios setup. I can't enter setup either. Thought it was drive... It wasn't.

Any help?

It seems I threw my mobo manual away, but it should be near the Battery, right? And, does one need to start the computer up while the jumper is switched?

I strongly advise you download and print a manual for your mobo off the webiste / they are an invaluable tool to keeping a system running

no, dont start the computer while bios clearing

The best method is to unplug computer from the wall socket (very important step)

next step is to change jumper shunt from pins 1 & 2 (usual stepup) to pins 2 & 3 then wait 30 minutes while configed like this to allow any residual elec to disipate

then return the jumper cap to the correct position / you will need to enter bios after and reset time and date as well as load custom settings i.e. sata drives >> boot order etc

and the answer is yes / the clear cmos jumpers pins are ually always near the cmos battery (three pins)

regards
