I have a big problem.

So after vacation I came back to turn on my computer and it was not on for more than 10 seconds before this error popped up:

Bios-ROM checksum error

Insert System Disk

So I tried all kinds of floppies. Bootup disks and the like. I do not have the original BIOS disk, as the computer is a bit old.

After inserting any disk and pressing return, this message pops up:

AWDFLASH.EXE not found.

What do I do? Pleae help!!

Thanks,
Peter

I'd start by opening it up and making sure all the connections to everything are firmly seated. I don't know where the AWDFLASH.EXE message comes from, unless you're booting from a floppy that was used to FLASH the BIOS in the past.
