Do you have any software to check your startup items?

i.e. those that run at system restart.

Also, do this:

Start>Run: type tweakui hit Enter

Does anything come up?

OK. Its a piece of software bundled in XP Powertoys.

Do this:
Press Winkey+R and type: appwiz.cpl then hit Enter
Find TweakUI there and remove it.
Restart your computer and see what you get.

As of yet, its still installed.

So you did exactly what I said, after I posted and it still showed up?

If so, carry on. If not, you'll have to do that.

Navigate your way to C:\WINDOWS\system32

In there, scroll towards the bottom for TweakUI

When you find it, move it out onto your desktop (i.e. cut/paste)

Now go into Add/Remove Programs again and see if its still there. If so, remove it. Reboot your system and see how it goes.

NOTE:Since this utility modifies Win preferences, many preferences of yours will be lost by deleting it if you had set them using it

Ok. You might want to delete it off yours desktop now too.. or you can keep it elsewhere and still run it if you feel. Best way is to delete it and reinstall it.

You're welcome.
