Hi,

Can you please give us some more information. What program are you using to connect through ssh? What linux distro do you have? Do you have a server set up? Lets start with that and we can go from there.

Cheers!

sshd is probably not running on the server. Either that or the ssh port has been moved. What distro is the server running?

Hi,

OK you gave me the distro, which is short for distrubution. It is like vista, or XP for Windows. You are running Ubuntu. Great, this is a good distro for newbies. I would like to know if you have ssh server installed. If you don't have the server installed you will need to type the following into terminal:
Code:
sudo apt-get install ssh
Then you should be able to install both the server and ssh deamon. From there I would like to know if you are trying to ssh to the ubuntu computer or from the ubuntu computer to another computer.

Cheers!
