I'm having this very odd issue of my laptops storage space being slowly eaten away. Its an SSD and I've never really had issues with it. The laptop isn't all that old, I bought it brand new a little over a year ago. I recently noticed this issue and I also noticed that in the optimize drives program that this strange second volume has appeared in the listing of drives. I only have one drive and one allocated volume on this laptop. I'm not sure what it is and I don't whether or not its a good idea to optimize it. Is this a bad sector? Should I run Check disk? I did an error check for the drive and was told no errors were found my my c: drive

Here's a image of what I'm seeing

This explains the Unknown Volume
As for space diapering, download WinDirStat to see what is using up the space.
Most likely it will be System Volume Information, which is where the System Restore Points are stored. You can limit the size of System Restore How To Reduce System Restore Disk Space Usage
also, Go to Settings/System/Storage turn on Storage Sense. Here you can remove Temp files to save space.
