G'day one and all

I have been told that spyware protection is not really needed for AppleMac's; is this correct. If not could someone recommend a good spyware/antivirus protections software.

Secondly can anyone recommend a good, simple download program for Youtube.

Yes, spyware is currently not something a typical Mac user needs to worry about. But that may change over time. As for Youtube, are you asking about downloading the videos to your computer, or uploading them to Youtube for others to see. As for the downloading to your Mac, because Youtube doesn't have a download button, I believe that they don't want you to.
