Not sure if this is actually strictly related to Bios, but I thought this is the forum that would be most appropriate. Recently I bought a Dell inspirion 5000 laptop from an associate. Whenever you boot up, there is an unnattractive splash screen for Dell. When I got the computer I formatted it and put on XP, but the splash screen remains. I'm guessing then that it's stored somehwere other then on the hard drive, possibly along with BIOS. I was wondering if any of you might know a way for me to change this splash Screen from Dell to my own company Logo. Any possible suggestions?

If the Dell logo is not with the windows xp boot up screen and is on when you first start the computer, it is in the bios.

There probably exists a way to change it, but I wouldn't recommend it. You should be able to get in the bios by pushing f2 or f1 or del or it will say on the screen if you push esc.

When you are in the bios turn off the startup screen, or do not display logo screen, or something similiar to that. Make sure to save changes when exiting.
Not recommended that you attempt this if you aren't comfortable with changing your bios settings.
