When i try to play a DVD on my PC it opens and the picture is fine, but the sound skipps alot. Songs play fine, and so does movies that i have downloaded, its just movies on CDs.

Ive got an onboard soundcard and ive tried updating the sound drivers but i get an error saying no sound device can be found, and a little Exclamation mark beside the sound like this :

Ive rolled back the sound drivers but its still the same, ive tryed playing the movie on Winamp, PowerDVD, VLC Media player and WMP.

All help is apprieciated.

Disable onboard sound, uninstall drivers and use Driver Cleaner pro to clear any remnants. Then install latest drivers from Realtek and enable onboard sound. If you still get the error message (and I think you will) you may have a hardware issue. Have you opened the case recently and touched the motherboard?
If it is just the one movie, it is more likely that the audio on the disc is the problem.
