Ive got a pc chips 830lr MB, and a amd 2200+ processer, c media wave device is my onboard. I get sound. but very very low. no its not muted and ive checked countless times all over the place to find something out and i cant. only way i can hear my comp is if i wear headphones and its still very low. ive tried 2 sets of speakers. and i just have no clue whats wrong. any help would save a headache Thanx.

Is this problem with any sound played on your PC or when you play cds?

k i d/led new drivers. but still nothing. i went to cmedia.com.tw to see if i could find anything out. my chip is the 8738. i dont know if its a compatiblity thing or what.. but its very annoying to not have sound.

This might sound crazy but it might just work. Maybe you have headphones or speakers in the wrong jack of the back of the computer. Did try switching it around!!!

ROFL, no thats not it ;). but everyone ive asked tells me that hahaha i get sound. just its so low u cant hear it unless ur ears on the speaker. and all volume controls are up to max im not muted anywhere. im starting to think something is shorted out on the board or a loose connection.
