Greetings Friends,

As an avid PC gamer, I like to veg out and listen to some music or TV shows while I play Diablo, WoW, and other games because the in-game sounds get rather repetitive after the first play-through. Here is the problem I'm encountering. Any sound not coming from the game itself (Youtube or any Media Player, for example) is distorted and the game must be completely closed in order for it to return to normal. Any idea what I need to do to listen to sound from outside the game? I never used to have this problem, and I suspect something with HD sound drivers on the video cards, but I don't know.

SYSTEM:
Intel i7 -2600k
2x ATI Radeon R9-290x's
On Board Sound (EVGA P67 FTW)
Windows 10

TRIED SO FAR:
-Disabling hardware acceleration on the outside sound sources
-Removing any hardware acceleration for sound that was not on the
Motherboard.

Any help or references would be appreciated.

I have made sure to update all of my drivers. This includes: Video Cards, motherboard audio (realtek), chipset, and I've even gone out of the way to update the BIOS just in case.
