the left clicker on my laptop (acer aspire) mousepad had come loose and has been for a while. it was pressing down whilst i was attempting to move the mouse around on the touchpad making it difficult to do anything. usually, to fix this i would use a pair of tweezers to unstuck the clicker pad.
my tweezers must have hit something under the clicker pad because suddenly, the sound had gone. i clicked something else too, and my laptop suddenly switched off. luckily, it switched back on, but the sound has still not come back. it won't play through the internal speakers, nor the headphone jack, and it is not on mute at all, i have also checked/tested the hardware via windows and it says it is working/there are no problems?! help!

oh and also when I'm listening through headphones I can hear a wind-rushing noise and i did hear a pop-type noise when i clicked on the "audio mute" button.
