for some reason the sound is kind of choppy when i'm listening to cds, if i'm listening to a .mp3 or a .wav file or playing a game the sound if fine but as soon as i put a cd in it gets bad. Thank you, Jamie

this is an easy one, you forgot to plug in the CD Audio cable. It is the tiny cable that should run from the back oh the CDRom to your sound card or to the mother board if you sound card is intergrated.

It should play smooth even if that cable isnt hooked up.

it soundds like your cd rom is the problem, put in a

different cdrom is all. This should fix the problem

Also you might want to open my computer and right click on the drive

your cdrom is and click properties, hardware tab, highlight the cdrom

and click on properties, properties tab, and make sure check mark is

put in the box if so uncheck it then.

I apologize, im getting tired , the checkmark is

where it says: enable digital sound, either the cdrom can play

this or not.
