ok i'll try and make this as concise as possible.

my powerbook is screwed. it freezes often. the display goes black sometimes for no reason, comes back but goes away after a millisecond. dno why. i've tried os 9.1 won't install. diskwarrior hasn't found any problems. dno if ram is incompatible but it's samsung pc133 256 dimm (2 of em).

it also goes "boop boop boop" sometimes and doesn't start. It freezes EVERYtime i use it. I've never properly been able to use it for a full session.

HELP! WHAT IS GOING ON!?

just in case it helps, it's running OSX 10.27 w/o the firmware cuz i need to have os 9.1 first to install the firmware and i can't install os 9.1 for whatever reason. it's a 2001 model 667 mhz powerbook g4, w/ the removable keyboard...

my next plan is to get os 9.2 and see if that helps.

PLEASE HELP ME! i'm losing hair trying to fix this thing. :dead: :dead: :dead:

Boot from the installation disk, using disk utility format the drive in HFS+, then install 9.1...
