I've recently reinstalled Windows XP. I've noticed that my sound device isn't working properly and my Nvida graphics card isn't showing up on the dxdiag screen. Is this because i need to re-install my graphics and sound again using the CD that came with the motherboard (for sound) (i only have onboard sound) and the CD that came with my graphics card?

Sorry if this a really obvious question!

Yes run the motherboard cd and install all the drivers on the cd.

You will also have to install the drivers for your video card they should be on a cd that came with the card or you can download them from nvidas website
