i have a sony vaio VGN-AR51M on vista
lately the screen started sending flickering lines horizontally across the screen.
then the screen started turning blue like someone had placed a blue piece of plastic across the screen, the icons were viewable.

now the screen has gone white like viewed through a mist the icons are there but distorted the computer works fine just the screen fogged up.

the problem only started 5 days ago. the screen usually turns back normal after a short period but today it has been fogged up for 2 hours no changes

can anyone please advise
thanks guys

bit annoyed with sony thought we were buying a good name but this laptop has had bits drop off or break in the last 4 years, it has not even been used that hard either
:sad::sad::sad:

Have you tried checking for a loose or damaged cable from the lcd to the motherboard,reinstalling the video drivers, do you see any difference if you alter the angle of the screen
