My wife and I have a Sony Vaio laptop that is about 4 years old. Today, when my wife plugged in the power cord, she noticed that the computer wasn't charging (and eventually went into hibernation). To try and troubleshoot the problem, I used my multimeter to check the power supply. The output jack was delivering the proper votage. I opened up the laptop, thinking that it might be the connector. I tested the voltage where it is connected to the board and voltage was good to that point as well. I fear that is not going to be possible/cost effective to have the computer repaired. Any thoughts or insights to this problem? I appreciate any assistance you can render. I hate the thought of having to buy a new computer...
Thanks,
Scott
