hello,

I am having a horrible time finding easy to follow documentation on this laptop. I have never worked on a Sony laptop before. Up to now my experience is with Dells. I am unfamiliar with the ribbon cables that attach to the motherboard. They have blue tabs on them, which makes me think they should just be pulled out, but is the white socket supposed to come with it? I have already figured out the locking mechanism for the keyboard, so one down and two more cables to go. I need to get to remove the hard drive.

Thanks!

that helped

I almost have the hard drive out...i took out two screws on the chasis and it is loose on three sides, but the top left corner is still secure. I have looked for a screw that I may have forgot, but I do not see any.

Yes I read the instructions.

I read those instructions. My laptop is not the same model and is not in a similar configuration. My hard drive is located in the bottom left corner of the laptop. The hard drive in that example is located in the middle. None of the screws refered to in that example are on my model.

thanks,

Daniel
