Sony vaio issues!!!

I have a Sony Vaio model # PCG-7K1L. It has been a terrible computer from the start, but now it has gotten worse. Every time I turn on the computer, it freezes up and I can't use it. Because the computer is old, I've decided to just buy a new laptop (a macbook). How can I transfer the files from my old frozen computer to my new computer? Thanks!
