Sony Vaio can't boot in to windows

My Sony Vaio VGN FE770G has not been able to boot up to windows. I am getting "Windows Error Recovery" = Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change oight be the cause....."

When I insert the recovery CD in the cd rom, it didn't seem to help at all, it won't boot to windows.

Can someone please, guide me to solve this issue?

Hi and welcome to TSF first try booting to your bios screen try F2 on boot then navigate using the arrow keys, there will be info on screen to help your looking for the boot options screen or advanced boot options, then set the cd\dvd drive to first boot device save and exit F10 then try the disc again
