I am having this same problem. I thought I had solved it about a year ago, but now it's back!! I cannot remove the Roxio stuff on my add/remove programs screen because it keeps saying "another installation is in progress". That's the annoying sonic activation module unending cycle, that runs as soon as I boot up. So, I am stuck.
I also tried to delete from C:/program files/install shield/isdm.exe, as advised somewhere, but no such file exists on my computer under C:/program files.
Please help!
