I am new to networking. Recently I switched to DSL and since I now have two computer, I decided to use my Belkin wireless router as a switch for wired internet access.
Well, I had trouble connecting wirelessly with my laptop but didn't really care as long as it was secure. I secured it even though my key doesn't seem to work.
I have been using the router with ethernet cables for months without a problem but once in a while early in the morning I will notice the activity lights on my wireless router blinking, even when my computers are off. I am guessing someone broke the WEP key and got on.
So I tried to log into the router today and give the security thing a try but the IP address would not work. Tried resetting the router, which has worked before, but no luck.
Just about ready to go down to BB and buy a wired network switch.
