So i tried to connect my xbox to a Samsung HDTV, don't actually know the model, with a VGA cable which i also used on my monitor and it worked fine.
But on the Samsung TV when i change to PC or any other mode it either says no signal or unusable signal (on the pc mode).

Re: Xbox 360 Samsung HDTV Connection Problem

Hey mate,

Can you clarify what exactly is your problem. Is it that the PC won't display when connected to the TV or a different problem?

Cheers,

Hey

As Redeye3323 says, can you please elaborate it a bit so we can get a vivid idea of what the problem actually is? :)

Keep us posted.

Re: Xbox 360 Samsung HDTV Connection Problem

Okay i was in a hurry and did not describe the problem well.

The TV has 3 modes apart from it's normal channel surfing mode.

Ext. 1.
Ext. 2.
and PC which only can be selected when a VGA cable is connected.(In my case the one from my Xbox)

But when i switch to PC mode (while having the xbox connected) it says something like unusable signal.
The other 2 modes just say no signal.

Hey mate,

I believe there is probably a compatibility problem. It may be worth trying your PC through the TV to check that the port actually works.

Re: Xbox 360 Samsung HDTV Connection Problem

I solved it!

It was a resolution problem.
I changed the resolution while on my monitor and it seems my tv did not support 1680x1080.

Thank you for the assistance though. :)
