(XPSP2) When I double click on a folder in the Windows Explorer right-hand pane, it opens a search box instead of simply exploring the folder. Can anyone advise me how to turn it back to the normal behaviour?

This situation arose after I did some registry tidying to get rid of a much more irritating problem. So it won't surprise me if there is some registry key I still need to change.

regards
Boops

Re: Windows Explorer: double-click folder opens Search

Thanks a lot-- it works!

I was having this same problem since I installed an add-on to print directory contents from Win Exp. Been trying to solve this for a week.

Glad we are still helping even after a year
However, I must close this thread now as we dont want the OP (original Poster) getting emails that someone has replied in their thread.
