Hi, Hope someone can help me.

My son just got an Asus Laptop from his school. It is running Windows 8.

It connects to other peoples WIFI, just not my home WIFI.

When he got it home he found the network, entered the password and nothing happened. Now it can't even find the network.

There is nothing wrong with the router as every other device connects fine.

The router is a Netgear n600 - DGND3700 and I am from Australia.

Thanks to anyone that can help:flowers:

Re: Windows 8 can't connect to netgear router

Can you run an ipconfig /all on his laptop and post the results?

When you say nothing happens, can you elaborate? does it say it is connected and just doesn't browse or does it just go back to as if he didn't try to connect?

Re: Windows 8 can't connect to netgear router

Thank you so much for a quick response. Somehow the issue has resolved itself and it is now connected. Hope it stays that way. Thanks again
