Okay so here is my short story! I recently bought an Asus G51Vx a couple of months ago which included the Windows 7 upgrade. I submitted my upgrade application right after I bought the PC. It was released on the 22nd and I barely got it.

Okay now here is where the problem comes in. I pop the CD in my CD drive and wait... and wait.. and wait. I take the CD out and put it back in NOTHING! So I restart my computer and try it again NOTHING! I changed my bios to boot up on CD.. NOTHING! I put another CD in the drive it works... hmm.. What am I doing WRONG?

I already checked my drivers and they are up to date. I am running on Windows Vista x64 Home Premium on an Asus G51Vx.

Re: Window 7 CD won't work (Not a happy customer)

Since the DVD drive can run other DVDs, but not the Windows 7 upgrade DVD that you received from Asus, you should contact their customer support for a replacement.

Glad to hear the solution was that simple.

Thank you for posting back with outcome.
