I am working with a 22" Wide Screen Samsung LCD Flat Screen Monitor.

OS is Vista Home Premium

The Resolution will auto reset to the Lowest Setting Possible.

When I set the Resolution to a higher setting, everything works perfect, but when I reboot the machine the Resolution Auto resets.

The Dell Inspiron 530 Computer has an onboard Video Chipset. Thinking it might be a problem with the Chipset, I replaced the Motherboard and still have the same problem, even after updating the Video Driver.

Dell Support has reviewed all CMOS settings and now tells me, the problem must be the Monitor itself, which I find hard to believe.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
