Hi,

I want to know how to set a password in windows XP for a certain period that it will automatically tell / remind me to change password after that certain period (say 30 days).

Re: Time line Password setting in windows XP

If you're using XP Professional, click your Start button then Run and type gpedit.msc and press enter. Under Computer Configuration go to Windows Settings>>Security Settings>>Account Policy>>Password Policy. Change the maximum password age to the length of time you want your password to be valid for until it needs to be changed.

Re: Time line Password setting in windows XP

Dear Friend,

I have changed Maximum Password Expiration to 30 Days. I hope this will work and tell me automatically to change password at least few days ago.
