Ok, all I did was do the msconfig thing and I unchecked like 3 programs which were unnecessary. 2 had to do with my webcam, 1 was about WinAmp which I have since uninstalled a long time ago. Now every time I turn on my compuer it has to remind me in the bottom right hand corner of my screen that certain startup programs have been blocked. I KNOW this already. I just unchecked a few things there because I was fiddlin with the iLike.com sidebar to get it to work. It keeps telling me though, I have to keep exiting out of that reminder in the bottom right-hand corner. What can I do about this? Thanks guys.

Re: startup programs

Hello and Welcome to TSF

I apologize for the late reply, I hope to get your issue resolved quickly.

Apparently this is the whole problem, you are using msconfig to control startup programs. Someone else has reported that there is a way in Windows Defender to remove items from startup. You can also use Spybot S&D which is what I prefer to use.
