greetings, i have a very peculiar problem with my browsers, and was wondering if anyone has had a similar one before. i use mozilla firefox, have the latest version installed, and it will open sites normally about half the time. the other half of the time it gets stuck in "loading". i've had this problem with the same webpages (specially google/gmail), whereas other sites such as msn, yahoo and this forum work fine, both in IE explorer and firefox. i have checked for spyware with spybot and for virus with norton antivirus (newest updates/definitions installed on both programs). msn messenger works fine, and some webpages open easily, so i know my computer is at least connecting to the internet. other computers in the house work perfectly fine, so i know the problem is specific to mine.
i have tried clearing cookies and all private information, even uninstalled firefox, dowloaded the newest version and installed it again, but it is just not working. hopefully someone has any other suggestions? im running out of ideas...

just for the record, i eventually found out that my computer was infected with virtumondo. i believe there are instructions on how to get rid of it elsewhere in this forum.
