just need a decent sound card, any suggestions on newegg? not to fancy, not to hardcore, 20-30 dollar ish range, comments please

Are you unhappy with your motherboards onboard audio? Modern motherboards have pretty decent onboard audio, certainly on par with, if not better than, a $30 dedicated card.

no a friend has a old computer and it didnt have a onboard audio and his audio card thats put in there went out

Go to Newegg, look for Sound Cards and select the price range. One is about as good as the other.
