need assistance with a sata drive, my system is win 7 and have 2 150 gig sata drives installed, but when i click on my computer it only shows 1 drive C but in the bios it shows 2 wd 150 drives also in disk managment it shows disk 0 healthy and disk 1 is shows unallocated, any help would be appreciated.
Go down to the heading "Manually Initialize" and follow those instructions.
When you install a hard drive in a PC, you must configure the drive in Windows, otherwise is won't be available for use. You have to install the drive, then use Disk Management to initialize the disk, format it, and create one or more partitions.
thank you for the info will do as mentioned, I went to disk management and did right click on the disk not allocated there I had several options spanned, stripped or mirrored or convert to dynamic or GPT , but after readind what you sent I see the disk has to be formatted before it can be used thanks again
