Hi all

I apologise if this is dumb question, but I am completely stumped.

I have an 8 year old Tiny A360+ laptop, PIII, 512Mb RAM, the HDD failed a few years ago but I'm trying to fix it up now (credit crunch you know). My BF has exactly the same laptop and his is still working, so I have no reason to think it is a complete lost cause. I'd just like to try to get it functioning again, I have access to all the drivers and so on but I'm afraid I can't find any info on the exact specs.

I have a replacement HDD, it's the right type, it is completely fine as I've checked it through my desktop with a caddy and is formatted as NTFS.

The issue is that I start the laptop with the XP install disk in the DVD drive, I get the 'Tiny' splash screen but no other screens before I get the 'Operating system not found' message.

So, I guess I need to get into the bios to change the boot priority and I suspect I need to flash the bios to do this. I have no clue what to do so any help you guys can give me would be great.

Many, many thanks!
