[SOLVED] Recovering from "Windows Repair" (Virus/Malware) ...folders and icons still

I recently removed the "Windows Repair" bug from my computer, while I had it, it somehow hid a bunch of selected folders on me. I went through and checked off the "show hidden files and folders" button, so what was hidden popped up, but now the folders are just shown as a transparency, not like a permanent icon or folder?

Is there any way around this?

Thanks.

Also check show OS files. Might try turning off Aero.

I recently had the same problem... Ty Malware Bytes... Made an account just to let you know what I did... I found that windows repair only made files/folders hidden in the windows, program files and documents and settings folders and the quickest way to make them unhidden was to go to the C:/ path or whatever you have your hard drive(s) as and went to each folder there, selected the properties each in order and made the folder hidden, clicked apply, selected only the folder, unselected the hidden button, clicked apply and this time made every file and folder unhidden, had mine fixed in a few minutes after virus was removed... Hope this was helpful, still haven't found the where I saved my wallpaper file, said f it and got a new one
