[SOLVED] problems with western digital wd3200aaks

just got the drive and when trying to install server 2008 it won't partition.
also tried my copy of XP and it just sets at 0% file install.

is there something i can try or is it doa?

system:
cpu:amd 5400x2
mobo:asus m2r32-mvp
ram: 4 gb geil ddr2 6400
psu:antec 550
video:hd2600xt

thanks for the tip. yeah checks as too many bad sectors. think i should get newegg to replace it with a non-WD hard drive.
