I'm on dial-up, and for whatever reason I find it convenient to use Windows' built in ICS server to share that pathetic sub-5KB/s connection to my laptop and whoever wants it. It's been good for the most part, but recently it's been problematic. A little back story first though.

I recently replaced the modem in my desktop, and when I did that my client computer started acting weird. It would kind of work, but halfway through loading the page it would just kind of stop. It would act like it was going, but there would be no network activity. I couldn't figure it out at all. Then a little later the Windows XP Service Pack 3 was released, and I spent about 36 hours straight downloading it, then proceeded to install it on both computers. It magically worked perfectly after that, and I quickly forgot about it.

Then I went to Florida to visit my sister, and while there we bought a router (she was actually plugging her computer straight into the modem!), and after some hoopla with that (who knew the router and the modem had to be plugged in?) got it up, and forgot about it.

Then I come home, and to my horror it's doing it again! I'm pretty sure it's my laptop (client) because my desktop was off the whole time, and while down there I reinstalled my wireless card drivers. I've since reinstalled them again, but to no avail. I'm kind of stumped on this one, any help would be awesome, thanks!
