My HP all-in - one printer won't turn on. It worked two days ago. HP said I'd have to pay app $40 to dx problem. Any suggestions other than buying a new printer? I've tried all the usual suggestions -- uninstall, reinstall, ec

Item number one: Check power cable. Is your cable cracked, bruised, kinked, or disconnected?

If it isn't the power cord, or a door interlock, then it's probably not worth fixing. The remaining two choices are too expensive to fix on most desktop inkjets. The power supply and engine controller would most likely cost more than the replacement printer.

Thank you all for your replies. I bought a new printer, because I was told by HP that it would cost me app $40 to evaluate the problem. My new Canon was $80.
