Hey I'm new to this forum so I hope that im postin in the right section,

Anyway I have an issue with my pc. At the moment my mouse is not responding too well. I Can't click on alot of things but maybe after a few mins it will let me click thou 99% of the time it wont. I have to alt tab between windows to use them. Also another yet annoying thing my pc is doing is tabbing between windows itself.. I use Skype and firefox and a few times it has tabbed to firefox and back to skype.. Or it just tabs out but keeps skype in front till i click it again to type on it.. Also when im searching in google or browsing music in youtube if I click the next page/song it will go back to the last page/song a few times .. I often have to close firefox down and reopen and start again.. I could click on a new page 4-5 times and it would keep going back to the previous one and on some occasions even 2 pages back.. which is frustrating lol. :4-dontkno

It feels like someone else is using the pc and clicking on things as I do but i have done an avg scan and it has picked up nothing, I have restarted twice but it hasn't helped .. Im not great when it comes to knowin what i could do to solve this problem and i have searched google but no one else has this problem or posted one about it.

Thanks in advance

Re: Pc with a mind of it's own

Hey geekgirl,

Post a update as requested :) I didnt buy a new mouse but was due to get one tommorow , tonight however I wanted to see if it was my mouse or maybe the usb socket it was plugged into at the back of my pc that was the cause... I unplugged my mouse and put it in a socket in the front of my pc and no more " not being able to click " problems :D I am guessing that it was a port problem as when i had my mouse plugged in , in the back i was tugging on the lead alot to get more lead ( my bad ) so guessing maybe damaged it a bit.

If problems come back then i will prob get a new mouse :) but thank you very much for your help , I would have never thought bout it being mouse issues i just thought someone else had taken over my pc hehe :p

Good call, I should have mentioned that first. I normally do try other ports to determine if it is a port issue or hardware issue. I assumed your were using PS/2 mouse not USB
