Okay guys..... heres one 4 ya-

my hubby has a custom built computer.....he built it himself bout 2-3 yrs. ago.
Very nice setup until recently.....it just started to shut itself off. we disassembled it, cleaned out all grim, hair ect. noticed psu was way dirty inside, so he decides to get a new 450w psu. put it all back together....still doing it. when this happens, tower shuts off, but monitor keeps popping on/ off and you can hear it over the speakers. noticed last nite that 3-4 of our outlets do not work anymore, poss. causing a surge, but everything has surge protection stips. i am lost on this one, ppppplllleeeeaaazzzzeeee help;-}
Here are the specs-

MOBO- asus a8n5x
Monitor- kds xf75, made in 05
NVDIA GeForce 7300 LE
psu- imicro 450w (brand new)
2 gb ram

Re: oh boy...hubby' pc shutting off alot

i'm sorry- the 3 to 4 wall outlets, we live in a mobile home that has a circuit breaker box. we think one of the units is burned out. hubby modified vid card w/ better heatsink and a bigger better fan unit, so he's bout to hook back up. i'll let you all know the result;~}
