Hello, this is my first post and though i am not completely computer illiterate i am by far no guru. so please forgive my ignorance if this is a stupid question.
I have an Acer Aspire AST180-UD360A. I think the motherboard is a HT2000. it is about 4 years old. i installed a GeForce 7300 GT about 6 months after i bought it. It was working fine last night. i shut it down normally. and this morning when i turned it on i just had a blank screen on my monitor. the startup sounded normal except for a clicking sound which i don't think i have heard before. i tried restarting a few times but got nothing. i plugged my monitor into the integrated video slot and i got a signal. the only thing that happened between last night and this morning is that i dropped a Maglite flashlight on my case pretty hard. Is my video card bad or is it possible that the thump from the maglite has knocked something loose that i can just pop back in? I pushed on all the cards and they seem to be in pretty snug. are there any jumpers that could have been knocked loose and have this effect?
Thanks in advance for you time and your replies
